John Micah Whited

Bio

John Micah Whited serves as the Defensive Coordinator and brings over 10 years of coaching experience to the program. Known for his passion for the game and commitment to developing young athletes, Coach Whited focuses on building disciplined defenses and teaching strong fundamentals on and off the field.

Before joining the current staff, Coach Whited has spent eight years coaching at Oneonta, where he played a key role in developing competitive teams and strong defensive units. He also spent one season as the offensive line coach at Saint Clair County and one year as the offensive coordinator at Scottsboro, gaining valuable experience coaching multiple positions and both sides of the ball.

Prior to his coaching career, Coach Whited was a successful player himself. He was a member of the 2013 State Championship football team and was recognized as an All-State player in 2014, accomplishments that reflect his deep understanding of the game and competitive mindset he brings to coaching today.

Coach Whited is passionate about mentoring young athletes and helping them grow not only as football players but also as leaders and teammates. His coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, teamwork, preparation, and character.

Off the field, Coach Whited enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Abbi, have a son named John Parker.
