Coleman Mason

Bio

Coach Mason is entering his third year with the Oneonta Redskins coaching staff, bringing over a decade of experience and developing talent on both sides of the ball. A 2007 graduate of Susan Moore High School, Coach Mason earned his degree from Jacksonville State University in 2013.

His coaching career began at his alma mater, Susan Moore, where he served for nine years, including five seasons as the program's Defensive Coordinator. He later served as the Defensive Coordinator at Locust Fork High School before taking the reins as the Head Football Coach and Program Director at Holly Pond High School.

In his time at Oneonta, Coach Mason has focused on the edges and the trenches, coaching the Offensive Line and Outside Linebackers. In the classroom, he brings his passion for history and civic engagement to his roles as a teacher for Government, Economics, and AP US Government.

For the Mason family, being at Oneonta is a true homecoming. Coach Mason and his wife, Amber, have been married since 2019 and are the proud parents of three daughters: Kyleigh (13), Amelia (5), and Ada (2). Their oldest, Kyleigh, has been a student in the district since Kindergarten and Amelia will begin kindergarten in the fall.

Coach Mason remains dedicated to developing young men who are disciplined, accountable, and relentless in their pursuit of excellence—both on the field and in the classroom.
